Abstract

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a technique and series of software programs that often use by construction worker like architects and engineers for example Navisworks and Autodesk BIM 360. Building Information Modelling BIM software has made the progress of construction becomes more simplifies. However, there is a lack of construction manager who manage the project by using the Building Information Modelling (BIM) software due to lack of knowledge about the technology. Besides that, Building Information Modelling (BIM) had stated the high accuracy function to the project construction, but its lack of research that highlighting the benefits and limitation of the project management software. Therefore, to solve the problem above, a detail research study will be carried out to benefits of BIM enabled software for project management, the limitation of the BIM enabled software for project management and barriers in adopting BIM enabled software for project management. The methodologies that will be applied for this research is starts with using literature review to identify barriers, factors and strategies in adopting Building Information Modelling (BIM) enabled software for construction project management. This is followed by distributions of questionnaire forms towards Architect and project managers in whose play significant roles of planning and monitoring in construction project management. Descriptive analysis was applied via SPSS program software to analyses and measures the data collected from questionnaire survey forms.
