Abstract
In Malaysia, there has been a tremendous effort in implementing E-tendering System as a new agenda with the objectives to increase public transparency, together with improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the tendering process in the construction industry of Malaysia. E-tendering in a simple definition is conducting the tendering process including advertising, receiving and submitting tender through electronic media. It is a procedure of competence contractor selection, through a transparent process which all the documents and notices are posted on e-platform, contractor’s information and all the transaction are through internet in electronic basis that can be track back. However, the implementation of the E-tendering system are not fully successful as there are still many people stick with the traditional ways of tendering. Hence, the challenges of the E-tender will be figure out and enhance gradually throughout this research.
