Abstract

Good quality of work often begins with a proper planning, and Project Planning, Scheduling and Controlling is an essential tool for all individuals. An effective planning requires proper skills and practices to be mastered. This research aims to provide an overview on important of project planning is implemented to contribute for producing better work in student project or assignment. This topic comes in handy when an individual such as student wants to execute a project or an assignment for the first time. For instance, planning assist student to minimise errors, improve product quality, mitigate risk of failing and discipline for punctual product submission. In short, it equips them with a great deal in terms of information, content built-up and risk or consequences they might encounter throughout the progress of works. Additionally, in situation where no supervising from lecturer or tutor to assist, planning methods will act as a guide for student to follow in order to complete one tasks. This research will review the important of adopting project planning methods, assess student familiarity with methods of project planning and controlling and finally measure the level of challenges of implementing project planning and controlling among student. A survey questionnaire form is distributed to 100 number of students from College and University. The anticipated findings for both objectives 1, 2 and 3 in this research will be determine by the mean score which the highest mean score will contribute to most agreed, familiar or significant for “Project Planning, Scheduling and Controlling: A Study on College and University Student Attitude towards Project and Assignments”.
