Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is now ruling the world's life. In one sense, COVID-19 is ultimately a new threat that it is a contagious viral infection that attacks primarily an infected person throat and lungs once contract to the person. COVID-19 has the speed of infections spread and create many mortalities. The issues extend in sequence overwhelm the capacity of health services, social commodities, all sectors industry in Malaysia including construction industry that had jeopardized Malaysia’s economy. This research carried out is to stimulate the awareness of people and share the information of COVID-19 and MCO by determine the different stage of MCO rules and justify the impacts of COVID-19 and subsequent effect of MCO imposition towards construction industry, also to investigate the people's top concerns with respect to COVID-19 for now and the coming years. The viruses are still evolving, and this research is created as of 11 September 2020. The methodologies that will be applied for this research is starts with using literature review to identify the objectives below based on previous researches. This is followed by distributions of questionnaire forms towards the contractor that located at Kuala Lumpur and Selangor for the total three objectives. The data were then will be analysed by using Descriptive analysis by SPSS. The anticipated findings for first objective will indicate that the highest mean score will be the most agreed status of work during the stages of MCO and in contrast. Meanwhile, the anticipated findings for second objective will indicate that the highest mean score will be the most agreed troublesome situation occurred in construction industry that the risks are borne by affected parties involved in the construction project that induced by the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia. Lastly, the highest mean score for the third objective will reveal the most people's top concerns about issues with respect to COVID-19 for now and the coming years.
