Abstract

The past generations had left us many precious treasures such as their cultures and heritage buildings in hope that the new generation is able to nurture and conserve them. There are many heritage buildings are still facing existence threatening because the buildings are not conserved properly and have tremendous defects. A proper heritage building conservation undeniably improve the building appearance, enhance comfort, safety and health of the building which possibly to increase the building’s capital value and lastly can extend the building life. In addition, the primary data are compiled by using mixed method of quantitative and qualitative. The research instrument in quantitative method is conduct a close-ended questionnaire by web and walk-in and open-ended interview by phone and face-to-face in qualitative method. The information was being gathered from the collected questionnaire and being analysed by using Statistical Packages for the Social Science (SPSS) 24.0 version and the analysis will use descriptive analysis and content analysis. There are three parties that this study can benefit them. They are private stakeholder of the heritage buildings, heritage building consultant and contractor which also known as conservator in the industry and government.
