Abstract

There are numerous of methods to remove scale in pipe. All the methods can be categorized into three groups which are mechanical, chemical, magnetic method. In this article, the mechanism of each method will be discussed. Hardness of water will be understood in order to remove scale in pipe. Moreover, the structure of cleaning pipe system in each method applied also been discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of each method had been pointed out. Further, the hands on experiment will be discussed including their methodology, result and discussion. The future prospect of methods is made by pointing out the drawbacks and advantages. Last but not least, the detailed investigations and research are required in this field in order to improve the efficiency of method in cleaning the scale in pipe. Finally, the conclusion will be made to find out the methods which is effective and eco-friendly that can be applied in the future.
