Abstract
The study attempt to investigate the visual exploration on props activity book that enhance children’s learning interest, as a form of alternative learning method in early childhood education. The researcher acts as a designer to do an exploration on props that apply on activity book into creative specialise for children learning process. The scope of this research is to define effectiveness of the children’s learning behaviour within a props interactive method used in the activity book. The researcher has conducted three case studies to further understand the objective of the topics. The researcher had the privilege to interview Ms Chew Siow Ling, an educator at Johor with 30 years of experience on teaching preschool children, Ms. Emila Yusof, local illustrator and children book designer based in Kuala Lumpur who has written and illustrated a number of picture books and handcraft books in Malaysia, Ms Sheena Moh and Ms Teo Jin Hui, pioneer children surprise box Atom & the Dot founder in Malaysia. With the combination of illustrations and props exploration, the outcome of this project is a props interactive alphabet book for 3 to 5 years old children. The researcher has also selected some references journal and their contents for analytical purposes for reference.
