Abstract
At present, in our society, modern society is constantly exposed to a lot of violence in movies. As far as the media is concerned, movies have become people's entertainment tools. In this study, the main purpose is to explore whether action movie is making violence on youth. There are many violent elements in the content of action movies and these violent elements may affect the behavior, thoughts and emotions of young people. This research mainly achieves three goals, to examine what are the factors that influence youth to watch action movies, to determine the level of affection for youth to watch action movies and to determine the attitude of youth towards aggression after watching action movies. Social learning theory is applied in this study on the formation of the hypothesis in which youth behavior may be affected by violent movies while exploring what it causes and how it could affect youth behavior. To find out whether action movie is making violence on youth, this study will be using non-probability sampling and the method of quota sampling in this research. An online questionnaire survey will also be conducted in this research. The paper concludes that the violent behavior of young people is not entirely due to the violence in the movie and affects a person’s behavior. To what extent depends on whether the person has aggressive characteristics.
