Abstract
In this research paper, the research will investigate the impact of the Internet on the movie broadcast platforms in future. It is to study the changes of movie viewing behaviour due to the innovation of the Internet. With the rise of the Internet, the movie industry has faced lots of difficulties as the users of online movies watching platforms keep increasing. There is a sign that people slowly shift their movies watching platform to online and cause the fall of movies’ box office in Malaysia. This research targeted 100 respondents which range from 15-54 years old who watch movies and distribute the questionnaires through Google Forms. Through the study, the researcher will prove that people are shifting their focus to online platforms. To find out how the Internet affects the movie industry as well as the effect of movie ratings and reviews websites on the movie watching behaviour. The result showed that there is a higher percentage of online movies platforms users means that online platforms have a high percentage to drive the future of movie broadcast platforms.
