Abstract

This research is to examine the impact of intellectual property to film adaptation. The research objectives are to study the impacts of novel-film adaptation towards the readers' behaviour and the impacts of intellectual property to film adaptation towards film industry. Moreover, two research methods which include online questionnaire survey and in-depth interview used by the researcher to conduct this research. There are 100 Malaysian respondents who aged from 18 to 24 years old for the online questionnaire survey and also two experts from the film industry were interviewed to share their opinions related to the topic. According to the result from data collection, the research objectives of the study are reached.
