Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify social media influencers and their impacts on PR activities or campaigns in Malaysia. Social media plays an important role in our daily life as we use social media to do many things such as searching information, shopping, completing certain tasks and many others. Hence, many organizations and companies started to think of various method to assist in their image creating and awareness building. The revolution of social media had brought up the trend of social media influencers in these recent years. This research will be gathering the information and opinion regarding social media influencers and their impacts on public relations’ activities or campaigns, these information will be provided by 100 social media users in Malaysia. The development of this trends has significant impact on the companies. Thus, it is important for the public relations practitioners or the organizations to understand these impacts in order to develop or examine the workable strategies of social media influencers.
