Abstract

This research would lead to the development of a ride-sharing app. It works by accepting ride sharing requests sent by smartphone from passengers and deploying correct cars to pick them up. The application's monetary constraints are designed to benefit both passengers and drivers. Passengers pay less than they would if they did not use ridesharing and are compensated if their travel time is extended as a result of ride sharing, while drivers earn money for all detour distance caused as a result of ride sharing. Ride sharing app allows use of a special request known as a seek and offer request, in which a rider can seek a request sent by the driver, and the driver can offer the request to the riders or passengers, depending on the distance the cost is calculated when a particular rider or passenger arrives at a destination. This paper introduces the idea of searching for it and offering a ride and it provides an overview of the ride-hailing service as well as primary algorithms for dynamic ride-hailing matching.
