Abstract
In this qualitative research, the researcher selected to study the motion graphics from Motiongrapher where the selected motion graphics had been awarded with the Motiongrapher awards to have a better understanding. The research aim is to find out the application of Gestalt Principles through the inclusion of time as a factor in motion graphics as well as principle of organizations on formalism theory. The researcher used Clive Bell’s (1914) formalism theory to study the artworks. The data has been analysed using compositional interpretation (The Good Eye) under visual methodologies introduced by Gillian Rose (2016). This study helps to figure out the visual cues used in the motion graphics and how they enhance the storytelling experience through Gestalt Principles. Therefore, the application of Gestalt Principles should be highly acknowledged and more utilised in motion graphics to improve the overall experience of the motion graphics.
