Nowadays, many people prefer using e-commerce websites to buy stuff rather than going to a physical shop because it saves time and cost for them. With the growth of e-commerce websites, the security of an e-commerce website will be important to the consumer. As a consumer for the e-commerce website, they might be concerned about the security of their registered user details and also the security of cards when they make purchases. This project examines how to enhance the security for the e-commerce website and how the RSA encryption algorithm can be designed and implemented. The main focus is to point out how effective the RSA encryption algorithm is compared to the Triple-DES encryption algorithm which helps to improve the security for protecting the user details, card payment and also product details. This will help to secure the card payment for the consumer and make sure their card payment is safe when making payment and also the confidential information of the registered user is protected from unauthorized users. Implementing RSA encryption will be more secure in securing users' confidentiality compared to an e-commerce website that used Triple-DES.
