Abstract

In this project report, we investigate quality of wine using Principal Component Analysis and extended with Linear Regression using the new factors generated by PCA. The report consists of six chapters. In Chapter 1, We introduce wine, how Principal Component Analysis being used in this paper. In Section 1 of Chapter 1, we have the brief description of wine quality and Principal Component Analysis. In Section 2 of Chapter 1, we will discuss aim and objective. Section 3 of Chapter 1, we will look at project scope of this paper. In Chapter 2, we present some terminologies and definitions related to Principal Component Analysis, Factor Score Regression and wine related research in literature review. In Chapter 3, we explained the method used include how principal component analysis works in both theory and software based way based on my understanding and researches from experts. In Chapter 4, after those methods and analysis, results have been generated include Correlation matrix, extraction using PCA, varimax rotation and PC score on generate further regression by using same dataset in this project. Discussion against results has been written as well. In Chapter 5, we conclude the overall result in this projects and as well as friendly reminder to researchers.
