Abstract

This research is about studying in the factors of affecting the decision making of house purchasing. Besides, it also identifies the issues that would lead to poor house buying decision. Not only that, this study also consists of the data collected from the respondents who are random residents that stay in Kuala Lumpur. They have to answer a series of questions in the questionnaire given. Then, the data collected will be analysed through frequencies and mean analysis and found out which is the most critical or significant elements. The findings for the first objective is defects and damages of the property is most critical issue that leading to poor house purchasing decision. Furthermore, distance to workplace and amenities, urban or rural area and environment surrounded, all are significant factors for the findings to second objective. The benefit of this study is to help people to summarise their requirements in property choosing, at least this research may give them some idea on which factors that would affect them the most. Moreover, this research also helps developers to define which features or attraction they needed to include when building a new project.
