Abstract

In Malaysia, there is a huge economic boom and the government and developers suddenly need to construct homes to meet the large number of residents who move into the central business district, and it could be that the properties that are being constructed only satisfy the simple demands of a dwelling and have potentially neglected the Quality of Life (QOL) aspect of residents, as a result, many homeowners may have low Residential Satisfaction towards their houses as the residential projects which are rushed out may be mediocre and does not cater to the wellbeing of residents. Thus, the aim of this is to evaluate the Residential Satisfaction levels and Quality of Life Domains of residents residing in Petaling Jaya. In addition, this report would determine if there is a correlation between QOL Domains and Residential Satisfaction. The understanding of these elements is essential as the wellbeing of residents in Malaysia is something that should be prioritised since they are the backbone of our economy.
