Abstract
The facilities and environment in the university must conform to the effective functioning and productivity to create a safe and healthy learning environment for students, so that the educational process and learning environment of the students will not be affected. (Olatunji, 2013). It is critical that school facilities are properly designed, built, and managed to the highest quality standards. The school environment should meet the necessary technical and functional requirements that may have an impact on the health, safety, and achievement of learning outcomes of its users. (Hassanain, M.A. and Iftikhar, A., 2015). Therefore, Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is carried out by collecting the data from the occupants to determine whether the educational building is workable and any improvement can be made. POE is critical in evaluating building performance because it includes the technique used to determine whether a building meets the needs of the user. (Preiser, 1995). Although POE was introduced in 1960, it is not common in the construction industry in Malaysia. Therefore, this research is carried out to identify the importance of POE and analyse the performance of the building in TARUC by collecting satisfaction level and opinions of the students on the functional and comfortable level in TARUC using POE. Literature review is to understand the POE method such as the types of POE, process to carry out the POE, benefits, barriers and elements in the POE. Moreover, quantitative research will be used in this research. The target group of this study are the TARUC main campus Kuala Lumpur students. A total of 350 students are selected as the respondents for the survey. All the data collected will use Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to analyse such as frequency distribution and descriptive analysis. The conclusion was drawn that the research had met all three objectives and contribution to the society and recommendations for future study were also being listed out in the end chapter of this research.
