Abstract

Quantity Surveyor (QS) is an important professional in the construction industry. As the quantity of QS graduates keep climbing every year, competition is tough amongst graduates. The labour market indicates that both technical skills and soft skills are greatly demanded. Many students assumed that academic performance reflects one’s success. However, there are also other factors that could influence students’ success, especially soft skills. Soft skill is extremely vital for every individual to sustain and grow in any workplace. Recently, fresh graduates not only struggle in lacking relevant experience, but also in inadequacy of important soft skills. Therefore, improving soft skill competencies among QS graduates is extremely important.
