Abstract
Accidents can only be minimized but not to totally prevent as it is depending on factors from many direction. The construction works is well-known by many other country as one of the most dangerous and risky industries as it involves a series of complicated practices. The issues of easing the accident cases in Malaysian construction industry is known to be a difficult task as in how the industry is heavily depending on the foreign workers raising the issues to the communication problem while carry out the construction which is utmost important as construction works are mostly carried out in team and in a very dangerous situation. However, it is no questions that construction industry are one of the most significant industry that contribute critical economic value to one country including Malaysia where this industry is the key engine driving the national economy. The literature review justify how significant it is to identify the possible factors causing the accident cases in Malaysian construction industry looking at the consequences it cost to the parties involved especially the developer and contractor in charging the project. This study aims to determine the best initiative that can be taken to minimize the accident rates by analyzing the accidents occurred in high frequency and most possible factors. In this context. The method used to collecting the data is through sending out a questionnaire survey to the construction personnel who may have expertise or experiences on this issue that can contribute their professional perspective to this research. The data are analyze by using Microsoft Excel applying the method of frequency and descriptive analysis. The result from this research are that most of the statement identified are agreed by the respondent in the questionnaire surveys and this is in hope to further decrease the research gap yet aiding all the construction parties especially those involved on-site activities to look into this issues and as a reference for the team to notes at the planning stage before the construction works executed.
