Abstract

This study will be conducted to analyses the application of drone technology in differentphase of the construction process. This study also analyses the advantages and disadvantages of drone technology in construction such as time, cost, short flight time and damage in property and people. Furthermore, this study also to investigates the issues and challenges of drone in construction industry. Literature review, electronic survey questionnaire and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software will be used toachieve the objectives. The mean score, standard deviation and histogram to be adopted in analyzing the application of drone technology in construction in term of advantages and disadvantages of drone and issue and challenges of drone in construction industry. The analysis results will be summarized in tabulation form and SPSS will be used in this study. The respondents indicated building and structural inspection as the most favorableapplication. The findings can help developers and contractors to understanding the effect and efficiency of the drone technology and subsequently help them to reassess their strategies on site operation. The findings of the research were also able to help the dronemanufacturers to improve and upgrade the device to suit to the industry development.
