Abstract

Due to the pandemic, schools are adopting online learning mode as a means to deliver education to students. Students and teacher face greater challenge than ever before. Due to the isolation, teacher and students are losing interactions, causing weak student-teacher bond, which then result in loneliness. This would cause teacher and students to become more stressful as the education experience becomes monotone. In a long run, mental health issues will be found within teachers and students. Therefore, ‘secure the nomination’ system is developed to improve student-teacher bond to help them experience meaningful online classes. The system serves its function to allow students to nominate their teacher for the best teacher award. Winners will be listed in the winner board so that more students get to know the teacher. It may help teachers and students to achieve psychological needs and therefore reduce stress. The methodology used in developing the system is the agile approach. Interactions with end users helps the development team to better understand the user requirements. To test if the system meets the user requirements, the system will go through series of testing, which are the unit testing, integration test, system testing, and finally the user acceptance test (UAT). To pull off the testing, test plans and test cases are written to describe the system requirements. Finally, the system is able to meet the user requirements, but certain functions have their limitations.
