Abstract

The purpose of this project is to enhance the awareness of financial planning and investment as well as to reduce their failure rate. The proposed system targets the working adult market, and it will be delivered as an Android app to assist in their financial management and investment journey. The objective of the proposed system is to provide an easily manipulated financial management and investment platform to them. The proposed system provides the financial management and investment features to users to overcome the obstacles stated. The management feature allows the user to record all the transactions by assisting with the categorizing function. In contrast, the investment feature provides investment recommendations to the users based on their personality and requirements. Next, the scope of the proposed system consists of 11 modules and is assigned to a two-person team. The modules include Expenses Management Module, Account and Budget Management Module, Setting Module, Forum Module, Linked Account Module, Admin Module, User Account Management Module, Goal Analysis Module, Premium Account Module, Investment Module, and Payment Module. Moreover, this proposed system is constructed using waterfall methodology as the requirements are clearly stated and developed by using Java programming language in Android Studio and Firebase Cloud Firestore as a real-time database. Furthermore, the proposed system conducts unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing to assess the functionality and acceptance level. The proposed system has passed all testing and completed all the proposed functions. In short, the exclusive user-friendly features and the environment-friendly proposed system has been brought significantly to the market. Ultimately, the proposed system can help the working adults manage their budget and fully utilize the idle resources properly as expected.
