Abstract
As the stray animal population keeps on increasing throughout the world, sending out stray animals to the shelters is not able to solve the overpopulation problem. As stated in The Star (20 November 2019, p.1), attacks on dogs and puppies are becoming especially prevalent with reports of stray dogs being poisoned and even a case of a dog being chopped up and burnt in Selayang, Selangor. Poisoning cases have also been reported in Seremban. Therefore, this pet adoption application can advocate adopting from the animal shelters to those who want to own a pet. The pet adoption mobile application in Malaysia is not as popular as overseas. However, with the awareness of people regarding the animal abused case, this kind of application has gained the human’s interest. Hence, we decided to develop a pet adoption application to solve the overpopulation and animal abused problem by offering a platform for the animal shelter to attract more attention and concern from the pet lovers to adopt these animals
