Abstract
Smart home as a concept is getting more attention recently but it needs more because the benefits that it offers are life changing especially towards the senior citizen. Smart homes are built to enhance the quality of life of the user as it has many benefits such as benefits of security, comfort and convenience, health-related benefit, energy saving, and the ability to control their lighting and HVAC system from a single device. This research will be mainly focusing on the reason for the lack of smart home adoption in the senior citizen household and the solution that may encourage the acceptance of smart home in the senior citizen households.
