Abstract

High rise residential building in Malaysia has not been having attention from the citizem until the increasing rate of migration from rural to urban and the population increased over the past four decades. Kuala Lumpur has experienced a high rate of urbanization. The city's population increased from 13.79 million in 1980 to 23.94 million in 2010, then to 33.18 million in 2022. Therefore, the demand for housing is increasing simultaneously which causing the price for residential building increased due to the availability of the land. With that, people are now tend to live in high rise residential building such as condominium, flat and low cost flat. Due to the demand necessitates increased in high rise building, it would be useful to access the occupants’s preferences and level of satisfaction. In essence, the goal of this research is to determine how satisfied are the residents are with the condominium and its facilities. This research study adopted a quantitative approach and the sampling method is non-probability sampling. Online suvery was conducted with respondents staying in PV 10 Platinum Lake Condominium, PV 15 Platinum Lake Condominium, and PV 16 Platinum Lake Condominium. Thus, before analyse the data collected from the target respondent will be analysed by using Statistics Package of Social Science (SPSS) which includes reliability test, descriptive analysis, and one-way ANOVA test. The findings demonstrated the importance of facilities, the issues and challenges of the facilities, and the satisfaction level of the homeowners and tenants that living in condominium in PV 10 Platinum Lake Condominium, PV 15 Platinum Lake Condominium, and PV 16 Platinum Lake Condominium. In conclusion, this research study will help the management corporations, homebuyers, investors and tenants in better understanding regards the issue, the level of perception and satisfaction on the facilities. Therefore, any improvement required on the facilities can be carried out based on the result of this study.
