The continuing increase of Malaysian construction work is leading the GDP from construction Malaysia to an all-time high in 2018 (3rd quarter). However, the construction industry is the most dangerous and uncertain in the world. The total number of construction accidents in Malaysia also showed an increased value from the year 2014 (172 cases) to 2019 (326 cases). With the presence of insurance, the employer can provide the guarantee and benefits to the employees when the accident happens. Thus, this research is carried out to survey the Workmen’s Compensation Insurances in the construction industry in Malaysia. This research will be specified in terms to define Workmen’s Compensation Insurances, finding out the implementation of Workmen’s Compensation Insurances and finding out the extent of Workmen’s Compensation Insurances being practised in the Construction Industry in Malaysia. A questionnaire survey is an approach used for primary data collection. The data was collected and analysed with the aid of SPSS software and Microsoft Excel. The descriptive statistical method, frequency distribution method and RII showed the result of the overall awareness level of the Workmen’s Compensation Insurances is extremely high among the construction personnel who work in the developer company or contractor company. The implementation of Workmen’s Compensation Insurances is shown slightly high where the premium rate and the claims procedure were indicated. The extent of the Workmen’s Compensation Insurances being practised in the construction industry is proven by indicating the reason effect on the adoption of Workmen’s Compensation Insurances. It is hoped that the awareness of employers and contractors to focus on the importance of Workmen’s Compensation Insurances can be increased throughout this research.
