Abstract

In this digital age, most of the construction industry in Malaysia are still using traditional methods instead of adopting modern technology for their construction purposes. This has caused slow productivity and a lot of projects are being abandoned because of the noneffective risk management. Delivering a construction project successfully has become a difficulty to all construction project teams. However, the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in risk management will be one of the methods to solve the successfulness of projects being delivered. This research aims to determine the challenges of BIM integration on risk management. Other than that, to identify the methods to promote the adoption of BIM in risk management and the benefits of adopting BIM in risk management. The questionnaire form will be distributed to the contractor’s firm that are register under Construction Industry Development Board Grade 1 to Grade 7 in order to achieve the objectives of this research.
