Abstract

Massification of higher education, the emergence of a digitised economy, and accelerated technological revolution have all increased the demand for ever-rising workforce capabilities. The rapid technological advances along with the rapid obsolescence of knowledge eventually resulted in rapid transitions in the work structures and skills demands. As all types of organisations consider human resources as their essential assets, the performance of the employees is always the top priority of the organisation to ensure excellent performance. With this, organisations are increasingly searching for a more competent workforce in terms of dependable, ethical and excellent communication skills to handle the escalated workplace complexity. This study aims to determine the students’ perceptions of the required employability skills, employers’ expectation on the employability skills required by Qs students, and strategies to enhance employability skills among the students. To achieve the research objectives of this research findings, literature review on various articles, journals and government statistics is conducted. Indepth interview and 295 questionnaire survey forms are distributed to the target respondents, where a 5-point Likert scale will be provided for the respondents to select the answer based on their perspective. A mixture of closed-ended and open-ended questions will be raised in the questionnaire survey. After all the data was gathered from the target respondents, the data will be then interpreted and presented in chart and table form. All the research findings will act as a reference for the final year QS students, fresh graduates and HEP in determining the vital employability skills and strategies to enhance the skills
