Abstract

Sign City is a board game that teaches basic Malaysian sign language. The majority of individuals believe that sign language is unimportant in their lives. So the idea was to create a board game that would encourage the general public to communicate with the deaf community and bridge the basic community gap between the deaf and general public. The idea originated from the fact that the deaf community in Malaysia is gradually being ignored. Because of impaired communication, there are fewer educational and employment options. Besides, due to the communication barrier, the deaf person is frequently socially excluded or isolated. The team intended to raise awareness of the importance of sign language among the general public and the deaf community. The Sign City board game is accessible to both hearing and deaf people. Sign City also attempts to make it enjoyable for people to learn basic sign language.
