Abstract

For many years, the effects of gender roles on male and female have been widely studied in different context. While many studies have found out that gender roles affect both genders in terms of career advancement, domestic workloads, pay gap etc., there are limited resources that studies the effects of gender roles under the influence of Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, this research is conducted to study the change in work responsibilities and household responsibilities of male and female public relations practitioners during pandemic and post-pandemic, and the challenges faced when reintegrating back to workplace. This research uses a qualitative approach and applies the Gender Roles theory to understand the effect of gender roles on the work responsibilities and the household responsibilities of both male and female public relations practitioners
