Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the Effect of Corrective Exercise Training Programme for Flat Feet Individuals on Dynamic Stability. The study design that was utilized in this study was true experimental randomized pretest-posttest design. A total of 12 subjects (Experimental Group = 6, Control Group = 6) participated in this study. Demographic data were collected for both groups such as age (M = 21.33, SD = 0.94; M = 21.83, SD = 0.90), height (M = 165.50, SD = 9.45; M = 166.00, SD = 9.27), weight (M = 62.00, SD = 11.76; M = 61.83, SD = 13.61) and leg length (M = 90.67, SD = 5.37; M = 93.17, SD = 3.24). All participants have completed the pretest (Y Balance Test and Pressure Mat Sensors), 6 weeks interventions (3 days per week) and the only one test was conducted as a posttest (Y Balance Test). Based on the Y Balance Test results showed that there were no significant differences in the Experimental Group for both right and left limb (Sig. = 0.157 and 0.085) but there was improvement after exercises which is 4.02% for right limb and 4.19% for left limb. Besides, there were no significant differences in the Control Group for both right and left limb (Sig. = 0.105 and 0.468) yet there was no or slightly improvement in the posttest which is -3.53% for right limb and 1.07% for left limb. In conclusion, the intervention that is performed by the subjects can enhance their dynamic stability.
