Abstract

The aim of this study is to look into mediating effects of deep breathing on fatigue and hand-eye coordination of basketball players. A total of 20 Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology students, male (n=20) (age=20.80±1.74) took part in this study and were divided into two groups, which are control group (CG) (n=10) and experimental group (EG) (n=10) randomly. Both groups went through the pre and post test. The experimental group (EG) had gone through the four weeks of deep breathing training, meanwhile the control group did not attend any training intervention during the four weeks period. Training was carried out three days a week with 10 minutes per session of deep breathing training. Data analysis showed that there was a significant improvement (p=0.004) of pre and post test for experimental group, meanwhile there was no significant difference (p=0.045) in accuracy mean scores for pre and post test control group. Key words: Deep training, hand-eye coordination.
