Abstract

Currently there are many cafes using online food ordering systems to let customers easily order their products. This is because traditional food ordering processes would have to make customers wait for their orders to be taken. Customers would need to wait for the waiter or waitress to be available to take their orders, or have to wait in a queue before having their orders taken. Besides, the waiter would also have a possibility of taking the wrong order from customers. Therefore, a solution to overcome these problems is to have an online food ordering system. It will help customers to save more time from ordering. Besides, customers that are in a rush can order and pick up their coffees at the shop and be on their way. Additionally, orders created through the system will not have an issue of inaccuracy order. The first chapter of the document is about the introduction of the system, it will consist of the modules implemented into the system, and advantages of the system. It will also consist of the development plan, software and hardware requirement to develop the system, and allocation of each module to the team members to develop. The second chapter is mainly about the surveys conducted and to analyze the results to see whether the system development is a necessity. The third chapter is about the methodology used, the requirements and rules of Patisserie Imperial, and the flow of each module. The fourth chapter is about the design of the system and the database. It will also show a more detailed flow of each module in the system. The fifth chapter is about the code implementation of the system and its test cases. The sixth chapter is about the conclusions, recommendations, issues, and solutions faced during the development of the system.
