Abstract

In recent year, the technology has been changed in major sector therefore E-procurement system should be replaced from traditional procure-to-pay process to help an organization to minimize their expenditure and maximize their profit. Moving traditional process of buying and selling materials and services to the internet is known as e-procurement. It establishes a direct channel of communication between an organization and a supplier, allowing interactions such as purchase order, bids and emails. The objective of this project is to build an e-procurement system which can provide a way to help an organization to work efficiency and conduct their business virtually during this coronavirus pandemic. The goal of this e-procurement system is to help the organization to save costs, shorten cycle time while increasing efficiency, decrease human error and internal transparency. The scope of this project included administration, purchase need management, sourcing management, supplier management, purchase order management and reporting. This project will be using System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as the methodology which starts with gathering needed data and information and then ends with several tests. Tools used throughout the project will be Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visual Studio, XAMPP server, NetBeans IDE, IBM Rational Software Architecture software, Signavio and Bonita workflow. Several tests will be undertaken before launching the system, including unit tests, integration test, and system testing are conducted to ensure that the system meets all the requirements in different field. This system will help the overall procure-to-pay process of an organizations to improve their efficiency and security. By using this system, the organization have to spend some money on building it and purchase some hardware and software required in order to support this system.
