Abstract

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019, it has successively spread to the world, and the global economy has been severely hit. As we know that the main source of revenue for hotels is from tourists, but even now the epidemic situation has improved, the government is opening businesses one after another, but still many people are afraid to travel at home or abroad because of the epidemic. This project will recommend hotelier to operate the hotel as a private highlevel quarantine place and open up new business opportunities for hotelier. Purpose: The main purpose of this project is to help the hoteliers to implement hotel quarantine plans by implement quarantine bookings on their official websites. Next is to reduce the stress of hospitals clinics, let them to have additional wards for the infected patients with more serious conditions. Scope: The focus scope of this project is to implement online quarantine booking, with strict and clear business rules as implement guidance. On the other hand, improve the UI of the system, without letting the user confuse on the info. Next, reduce user visual stress by using the same presented way to most of the UI pages. Lastly, to increase the userfriendliness of the system by adding supportive tools such as progress bar. Methodology: HTML programming language will be used for UI of the system, PHP and JavaScript programming language will be used for passing variables and all back-end processes, and Bootstrap 5 and CSS will be used for UI decorations. On the other hand, XAMPP apache server will use to enables the script files run and the phpMyAdmin act as the project’s database. Testing criteria used: This project will carry out several testing such as Unit Testing, Integration Testing and also User Acceptance Testing in order to ensure the whole system is ready to go-live. Results and Conclusion: At the end, the system will help the hotelier to handle the online quarantine booking, and also help the hotelier to open a new business opportunity, by allowing them to gain more profit. However, there are also some limitations of the system, such as UI not very responsive, not able to run in mobile-based and so on.
