Abstract

This project is a multiplayer action party game called Ascension. This game is suitable for all ages and is designed to be played with friends and families. This game is set in a hellish environment while not being evil or demonic in nature or feel. The players’ goal is to play through the game stages to escape this environment through various levels. Players will be able to join each other through online features provided by Microsoft Azure PlayFab’s various online features, such as lobbies and login features. The players will also be able to customize their looks through the in-game shop system. Ascension consists of 6 playable levels but a playthrough of the game might not necessarily encounter all levels. The methodology used to develop this project is Waterfall Model. The game is developed using Unity, with the help of Blender, and online features handled by Microsoft Azure PlayFab. The result of this project should be a fully playable and functional game. The game will be passed through testing and be met with satisfying levels. The game will be a functional online game where players will be able to enjoy. But there might be issues playing this game for some people as it requires a stable and constant online connection.
