Abstract

In the current version of TARUC Intranet Web Application, the existing online functions are not complete as the web application doesn't have the features for students to ask questions through online, the only way to ask questions about the campus is using email to each faculty or their tutors and lecturers. This would be very time consuming as the campus may have a lot of emails to reply, which would cause delays in the response process and the information would not be available to these students in a timely manner. The purpose of developing this web application is to provide a simple space for the student to post questions and create interaction with other departments of students as they can answer the question. This project will focus on the user site of “TARUC Forum'' Q&A System which allows users to post and answer questions at the forum. The modules include a login module, user module, Q&A module, voting module, history module and notification module. The software development process model that will be used in this project is where the software requirement is broken down into many standalone modules in the software development life cycle. Once the modules are split then incremental development will be carried out in steps covering all the analysis, designing, implementation, carrying out all the required testing or verification and maintenance. In conclusion, the system proposed in this project helps to create connections between people Within Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC) to increase communication and help everyone else.
