Abstract

The project title is “Wireless Powered LED Lighting System”. In this project, it is utilizing the parallel to parallel compensated circuit topology to achieve the resonant. The system is divided into transmitter part and receiver part. The transmitter part consists of timer, which is oscillate the desired frequency then use the MOSFET as switching purpose to drive the parallel LC tank circuit. Both transmitter and receiver circuits are successfully built and worked. The single layer circular coil with air core is chosen to implement as transmitter and receiver coil. The objectives of wireless power transmission-based lighting system capable of wirelessly powering a 10W load is achieved. Due to the limited size and material of the coil used, the system's efficiency falls short compared to the efficiency of products available on the market which is 75%. This coil design is required further study to improve the efficiency.
