Abstract

social responsibility (CSR) is an important aspect of modern business practices, as companies are increasingly expected to act in the best interest of society and the environment. The goal of CSR is to create value for stakeholders by addressing social, environmental, and economic concerns. This study examines the relationship of community, environment, customers, employees and philanthropy engagements and organisational performance, as well as how these aspects are measured to determine organisational performance deriving from organisational reputation. Quantitative with cross-sectional study was conducted in current research by carrying out the survey for 205 full time employees working in any organisation within Malaysia. Subsequently, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM a.k.a. SmartPLS) were adopted for data analysis. Organisational Reputation was tested as a mediating effect between community, environment, customers, employees, philanthropy engagements and organisational performance. The results support the theoretical framework and have implications for both theory and practice. In addition, the limitations of the study are discussed, and suggestions are made for future research.
