Abstract
Tachycardia is a common cardiac arrhythmia that may lead to serious medical problems. In recent years, electrocardiography, ECG has become an impactful diagnostic tool for detecting many types of heart failure such as arrhythmia condition, tachycardia. However, the accuracy and the sensitivity in detecting tachycardia are based on some factors such as patient age, medical history, or the presence of other cardiac conditions. Other than that, there insufficient of protocol and analysis for tachycardia and normal heartbeat. Therefore, this study is to investigate the difference for tachycardia and normal heartbeat with ECG analysis. Other than that, an investigation on whether the ECG can be used as a main tool in detecting tachycardia is observed. The study will utilize the data source from the PhysioNet open access database, which is the “Model for simulating ECG and PPG signals with Arrhythmia Episodes” with MATLAB software as the simulation. This study’s findings would provide valuable insight for healthcare practitioners on the appropriate use in detecting tachycardia by using ECG with data and results.
