Abstract

The construction sector has historically lagged behind other major industries in technological innovation. status of the construction industry has been intrinsically more complex attributes in different types of elements and projects due to the planning, safety system and technological requirements. However, the momentous contribution of emerging technologies has made a substantial advantage toward the internal and external of the construction industry to deal with the level of the workforce. Emerging Technologies have served as a tool or machines that address the problems and issues that appear in the construction industry practical. Technology is a necessity as it helps to enhance the precision and enhanced precision and efficiency in day-to-day operations, especially in terms of time and budget management. Despite the diversity of emerging technology's demonstrable benefits being well known, there are still many companies expressly reluctant to embrace emerging technology in the Malaysian construction industry due to apprehension of a variety challenges that hinder the widespread integration of these technologies. This study aims to determine the types of emerging technology applied in the construction industry, investigate the challenges of the adoption of emerging technology and propose potential ways to overcome the challenge for adoption of emerging technology within the construction sector. The questionnaire had been prepared for obtaining the data and distribute to target group of respondents is the people that are currently position as contractor in Klang Valley. Data collection has been analysed and assessed through the SPSS software by accessing the descriptive statistics and frequency analysis. In conclusion, this study can help to outline all the relevant information of emerging technologies and to improve the success of adoption emerging technologies in every scale of organization.
