Abstract

This research paper aims to examine the popularity of Malaysian Tamil Movie Industry and also their efficiency in carrying out the marketing activities. The Indian community is considered a small community in Malaysia due to their less population therefore it is hard for them to survive in this country. This paper will be utilising quantitative research methods to collect the data of a total of 100 respondents who are watching the local and international Tamil movies so as to test the research questions and the data will be analysed by using cross tabulation and correlation. Based on the findings, it has been found that the Malaysian Tamil movies are popular in Malaysia and the marketing activities carried out by the Malaysian Tamil movie industry is efficient in producing sufficient attention towards the local Tamil movies. In conclusion, this paper gives readers an understanding on the survival of the Malaysian Tamil Movie Industry.
