Abstract
The water is important for the plants. According to [1], it is because water can help plants to photosynthesis. The plant also needs the water to gain the nutrients from the soil. The plant will be wilt or droop due to not enough of water. The plant’s roots will be rot due to too much of water. Therefore, too much or not enough of water will cause the plants to die. Nowadays, many peoples forget to water their plant due to their busy schedule lifestyle, which makes it difficult for them to keep their plants healthy and alive. Then, the farmer also very difficult to maintain or water the plants in their fields because the capacity of the plant watering kettle is limited. Therefore, automatic plant watering system is created to overcome the problems. People will need this automatic plant watering system to help them to water their plants automatically. Because they always forget to water their plants due to the busy lifestyle. Based on this project, it will start to water the plant, when the soil of the plant is lack of water. This project will also stop to water the plant immediately, when the soil of the plant is filled enough of water. This is caused by the moisture sensor because the moisture sensor is used to detect the moisture of the soil of the plant. Therefore, the moisture sensor can detect or identify whether the plant is lack of water or enough of water. It will help to prevent the plant to become wilt, droop, or rot. Then, the temperature and humidity sensor will be used in this project to display out the temperature and humidity of the surrounding of the plant. This is because it can help to maintain the suitable temperature and humidity for the plant by looking at the display of temperature and humidity of the plant. After that, the Wi-Fi camera is used in this project to capture the situation of the plants at every moment on the phone by using the Wi-Fi. It can let people to view their plants at everywhere and anytime. Other than that, the NodeMCU Wi-Fi component is used for this project. The NodeMCU Wi-Fi component will need to create or design a controller app in the phone to manually control the plant watering system. The controller app will be using Wi-Fi or mobile data to control the plant watering system. The controller app can choose for manually or automatically for the plant watering system. Therefore, when the moisture sensor is broken, then the user can choose to use manual mode to control the plant watering system by using the phone. When user using manual mode to water the plants, user can view their plants by using the Wi-Fi camera through their phone to prevent over fill the water to the plants.
