Abstract

TARUMT E-Classroom system aims to introduce a Learning Management System (LMS) that offers better control, data privacy, low dependency and high accessibility to the institution. While TARUMT currently relies on Google Classroom, which users have widely adopted, this project was conceived to address the inherent limitations of conventional LMS platforms. Its objective is to grant educational institutions greater autonomy in managing the LMS with an unwavering commitment to data privacy. Besides, it also resolves high dependency on student submission and enhances student-resourced accessibility. This project is primarily tailored to serve TARUMT students and lecturers as its target users. Four main modules, which are the Account module, Menu module, Classroom module and Workspace module, will be introduced and developed in this system. To ensure its feasibility, a comprehensive approach involving fact-gathering techniques such as literature reviews and questionnaires is being employed to gather essential data. The project's structural framework is meticulously designed and represented through architecture diagrams. Subsequently, a thorough testing phase utilizing black-box techniques is implemented to verify the system's completeness and identify potential issues. The anticipated outcomes of this endeavour represent a significant advancement in educational technology. The project empowers institutions to craft tailored and secure e-learning environments while upholding stringent data privacy standards. It also resolves students’ highly dependent assignment submission issues and enhances accessibility to previous semester resources. This shift promises to revolutionize the educational experience at TARUMT, offering a better experience and a secure online learning environment.
