Abstract
This project presents an innovative integrated food ordering system designed to address the evolving needs of the food and beverage (F&B) industry. The primary purpose of this project is to solve the existing problem of inefficient food order management faced by F&B businesses and consumers. It seeks to reduce operational costs for these businesses by streamlining food order processing and enhancing customer ordering experiences. The scope of the project encompasses the development of a customer-facing food ordering application and a business-facing merchant portal. The system integrates various ordering channels, including in-premise self-serve QR code table ordering, online delivery, and online pickup orders, providing flexibility to both customers and businesses. This approach caters to the growing demand for convenience among modern customers, offering a consistent digital user experience. The project adopts the incremental software process model as the framework for managing tasks to achieve the desired end product. The project selects a 3-tier architecture and leverages technologies such as the PERN stack and Next.js. In addition, the project employs rigorous testing criteria to assess different aspects of the system, from functionality to UI testing. The developed project provides an enhanced ordering efficiency for customers, fulfilled various ordering preferences, and improved payment efficiency through pay-at-table technology. In conclusion, this integrated food ordering system addresses critical challenges in the F&B industry, offering a creative and efficient solution. It streamlines food order management, enhances customer experiences, and accommodates diverse ordering preferences
