Abstract

Nowadays, hospitals have become more important for everyone. The purpose they go to the hospital is for treatment purposes such as an accident, severe pain, disease, pandemic or any sudden event. Hospital management systems are under the hospital to aim for help to manage all the things about the hospital. Lack of manpower has happened in the hospitals. It will cause a bad outcome for the patient and also may lead the patient to delay treatment. Hence, the hospital management system needs to be designed and implemented for hospitals to become more automated. The purpose for becoming more automated is to help the hospital to reduce the use of manpower. The target user of the Hospital Management System is patients, doctor and admin. It also includes 6 modules which are Login and Register Module, Doctor Module, Pharmacy Module, Patient Module, Admin Module and Billing Module. Besides, the methodology that is being used in this system is an incremental model. The fact gathering technique has been conducted by using the online questionnaire in order to get the feedback from the hospital staff and patient. Besides that, it also included the use case diagram, activity diagram and state chart diagram of each module. We also design the system user interface of the system also. Last but not least, each testing has been implemented such as unit testing, system testing and user acceptance testing. The test case of each module has also been conducted also. Although this system has been developed successfully, it still has some strengths and weaknesses for our system.The strength is it can save a lot of data in the database and there is no need to spend more money when using the system. The weakness is users can log in using the account id only.
