Abstract

This study was qualitative research to examine the principle and practices of Waldorf Education and to explore the experience of teachers regarding the implementation of Waldorf Education in Early Childhood Settings in Malaysia.There were 4 preschool teachers participating in this research finding through interviews to share their thoughts when implementing Waldorf education. The results showed that the principle and practices of Waldorf education utilised by preschool teachers was effective, beneficial, and unique for a curriculum in Malaysia. Preschool teachers faced most challenges when collaborating with parents, and dealing with special needs children while introducing Waldorf education to the parents. This study has implications in that ways that were utilised by preschool teachers to resolve the challenges was obvious in contributing to challenges when implementing Waldorf curriculum.
