Abstract
This study was undertaken to investigate pf preschool parental belief and support in play-based learning in Kuala Lumpur. A total of 104 preschool parents participated in the study. Respondents' marital status have married and are also single. The age range is 20 until 40 above. The current employment status is part time, full time and unemployed. Play is a common and important component of childhood, providing a foundation for exploration, learning, and socio-emotional development. The objective of this study is to investigate parents' belief about their preschool children's play and to discover parents' level of support in play based learning. The researcher uses the convenience and snowball sampling approach to complete the survey. After that, the second section will be using the Parent Play Belief Scale (PPBS) to collect the parents’ beliefs and parents’ support in play-based learning. Parents’ beliefs contain 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 12, 15, 17, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 which show the parents' belief about their preschool children's play. Section three is about the parents' level of support in play based learning which contains 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20 and 24.
