Abstract

This study examines the impact of parental involvement on children's academic achievement and socioemotional development. Data was collected from ten preschool instructors in Kuala Lumpur, using Epstein's six-dimensional model. The findings show that parental involvement significantly influences children's achievement and motivation. However, challenges like socioeconomic factors, cultural barriers, and time constraints hinder parental participation. Despite these obstacles, successful outcomes result from active parental involvement. The study advocates for collaborative efforts between families, schools, and communities to support children's holistic development
